Who Am I?

I am an artist, writer, and performer with a passion for telling stories, blending art forms, and giving new life to old tales. My background is in theatre and all of my work is informed by that world. I love telling stories that explore the dark and striking aspects of humanity, the captivating and overwhelming, visceral and surreal. In addition to my completely original work I am passionate about finding stories that speak to modern audiences in timeless classics. I believe that art connects humanity in a fundamental way. The truest immortality is a remembered story.

The arts are a place for sincere human expression. AI has no place in the arts. In addition to producing empty, meaningless work, artificial intelligence programs steal from artists like myself and my colleagues to “learn” and consume an undue amount of the world’s resources. I believe in the importance of human artistry and I do not use generative AI in my work, artistic or otherwise. 

I studied at Bard College and completed degrees in theatre and creative writing at the University of Colorado Boulder. While earning my theatre degree, I ran the CU props department and worked two seasons as a props artisan with the Colorado Shakespeare Festival. In addition to fiction writing, visual art, and performance, I do technical theatre (primarily props), graphic design, and branding work.
